Strasbourg has held its world-famous ‘Christkindelsmärik’ Christmas market every year since 1570. Now one of the oldest Christmas markets in Europe, it attracts thousands of visitors who flock here each winter to shop hand-made decorations, admire grand fairy-light installations and bask in its fairytale atmosphere.
We invite you to rediscover the magic of the festive season on this interactive, family-friendly food experience through some of Strasbourg’s best Christmas markets. We’ll take you to our favourite spots for traditional Alsatian food and stop for mulled wine tasting along the way. Your local guide will point out the most respected craftsmen and share insider tips on how to find the best stalls for gift shopping as you stroll.
Our tour takes you behind the scenes to some of the artisan’s workshops. You’ll meet a local baker who’ll show you how to make traditional Bredele Christmas cookies, and even get the chance to design your own Christmas ornament in our creative workshop.
Join us on this activity-filled experience as we explore the food and festive traditions in the ‘Capital of Christmas’.

The food was amazing but what made the tour really special was to learn about the stories behind the food and get to meet the people that prepares it. It was amazing to have a chat with the owners of the places and see how much they love their food.
