An excellent (and filling!) tour through Roman flavors We had a fabulous time going through the Twilight Trastavere tour with Dalia leading the way of our group of 13! Her passion and enthusiasm for the food and her home country was so evident as she guided us through a veritable feast of Roman food, many of the location being multi-generational family owned businesses. By the end of the night, Dalia had taken care of us all so well that she was deemed our Nonna for the evening!

We began our evening with getting to be seated in a small room to the side of Trattoria da Enzo al 29 due to the rain. There, we were treated to prosecco, burrata and tomato appetizers with bread and fried Jewish artichokes which were incredible. We even ate the stem! After this, we visited an ancient wine cellar where we tasted red wine and sampled Julius Caesar’s favorite lean pork shoulder stew, which was the favorite of many of our party by the end of the night! We then went to a biscotti bakery where we enjoyed shortbread cookies and “ugly but good” cookies which lived up to it’s name! Then, we tried more wine and porchetta at a butcher’s and it was SO SUCCULENT, I wish I had had time to return and eat even more. Once we finished here, we went to sample Roman street food suppli, which was so delicious and warm and beautiful - another place I wish I could’ve returned to for more! After all this, we sampled two Roman pastas - amatriciana and gricia - and we loved the crunchy bits of guanciale that were included in the pastas. Finally, we finished with an education in proper gelato and were able to get a cone with two flavors from a gelateria all in all, everyone walked off very happy and very full! We were also given a list of more places to try food from in Rome (and we did get to eat a number of the restaurants!) and recipe cards as well. Would highly recommend Dalia and this tour for anyone wanting to sample the local food and experience a bit of the culture.

Great food and wine tour in Rome We had a great time on our food and wine tour of Rome. Emiliano was fantastic. He was witty, funny, and had a lot of passion for Roman food and history. We had a great pace. The food and wine was authentic and delicious. We were never bored and we even were able to see the church of Santa Maria and the site of an old Jewish temple at one of our stops. We highly recommend this tour and Emiliano.

Best food tour (and I’ve done a lot!) I have done many food tours in the past and try to do one in every new city I travel to! This was my first time going solo though, but I still had a blast! Valeria was an amazing tour guide with lots of knowledge and so easy to connect with. The food was a great variety of local foods that were in season and I loved that we had so many stops along the way! 10/10!

Gabriele was the best! This food tour was awesome - Grabriele was our tour guide and he was lovely. Very knowledgeable about all of the food, and we got such a deep dive into Rome and the neighborhoods we visited (Jewish Ghetto + Trastevere)

Davide was an excellent tour guide! He was personable, knowledgeable, and so much fun! Everything we ate and drank was unbelievable, and I would recommend this to anyone traveling to Italy. As someone with a food allergy, he was very accommodating and helpful to ensure that my experience was safe and delicious! 10/10 !

If you’re looking for an unforgettable way to experience Rome, this food tour is an absolute must! We visited seven different spots, each offering something unique and delicious, from classic Roman pasta dishes to incredible street food and, of course, gelato to finish things off. Our guide, Davide, was awesome —knowledgeable, engaging, attentive and great sense of humor. He went out of his way to make it a personable and great experience. He clearly has a passion for Italian cuisine. On the way to one of the restaurants, he greeted some friends who allowed us to cut thru a back alley where they were filming some war movie. Pretty neat experience. He also gave us great recommendations for some wine tours in Tuscany. Looking forward to tasting more delicious wine. Tips for the tour- come hungry and wear good shoes…lots of walking but the exercise is needed to work up an appetite between destinations. Grazie, Davide, for an amazing time—this was easily one of the highlights of our trip!

Had an amazing food tour with Loriana! She was excellent I so many ways. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and fun. She paid extra attention to my grandsons and they loved every minute of the entire experience. Couldn’t recommend her enough!

Amazing introduction to Testaccio We had the best time exploring Testaccio with Luca and Martina! Luca does such a fantastic job bridging together history with food through story telling. We learned so much about the area and cuisine and saw things we wouldn’t have found on our own.
