What happens when I make my online booking for a food tour?
When you complete your food tour booking on our secure website you will receive an automated order confirmation containing your food tour booking details and meeting point information, including directions for how to arrive by all available public transportation means. On your credit card statement your purchase will show up as Eating Europe Inc.

Are your tours and classes designed for children? If so how much will I need to pay?
Children of all ages can take and enjoy our food tours. If they are 3 or under and are not participating in the food tastings, there is no cost. If they are aged 4-12, the child ticket price applies; if they are aged 13-17, the adolescent ticket price applies. Please do not hesitate to contact us as we know all situations are different!
Are gift certificates available?
Travel gift certificates are available and make a wonderful present for anyone who is visiting or lives in any of our cities.
Can I book a private tour or class for my group?
Yes. We offer private group food tours for groups of up to 12 people, and custom tours for groups of any size. All private tours are priced on application so so please contact us on our private tours page for more information.
Can I speak to someone about my food tour booking or to learn more about one of your food tours and classes?
Yes, of course! We have someone on hand for almost 14 hours each day. Please visit our contact us page for a list of all our local phone numbers or to contact us via email.
Do I have to book in advance? Can I just arrive and pay cash?
Tickets for all tours must be purchased on our website. Generally, food tours can be booked up to 4 hours before the tour departs! Walk ups or cash sales are not accepted.
Are tips included in the price?
Gratuities are not included in your ticket price and they are always greatly appreciated.
If it is sold out, is there a waiting list?
There is no official waiting list. Please notify us by email at info (at) eatingeurope.com or call us and we will let you know what the options are if we are unable to get you on the tour of your choice.
Where do the tours and classes start?
The exact location of the meeting point for your walking food tour or culinary experience will be provided immediately upon booking (and we’ll also send a reminder a few days before the tour is to depart). Our tour is held within easy reach of all modes of public transport.
Are there bathrooms available?
Yes, bathrooms are available at several of the tasting locations.
Is this a trick question? Cameras are most certainly permitted and photos are absolutely encouraged. Don’t forget to tag us with #eatingeurope!
How long do tours run for?
The duration of our walking food tours is approximately 3.5 to 4 hours, with a 15-minute leeway on either side. You can find specifics on each tour’s page.
Can I shop?
In general, we ask that you refrain from shopping to help us keep within our schedule. Food is being prepared fresh for you at each tasting stop. However, there are a few exceptions to this rule that your tour guide will let you know about as you go along. If you would like to return to any of the shops after the tour, they are all close by and would be happy to do business with you!
What is the size of the tour group?
The maximum number of people on our food tours vary, but generally is 12 people. You can find more details for each tour on that tours webpage.
How much walking is there?
Food Tours last approximately 3.5 to 4 hours and we will be on our feet for roughly half the time. Wear comfortable shoes to be on the safe side!
Are walking tours held in bad weather?
All of our tours go ahead – rain, hail or shine! In the case of rain, we are able to go inside many of the tasting locations and there are other places where we will be able to stay dry. We kindly ask you to look at the weather forecast and dress appropriately.
Are your tours only available in English?
At present, our tours are only led in English. However, should you desire another language please don’t hesitate to contact us for arrangements as we have many guide whom speak multiple languages.
How much food is there on your food tours?
A lot! Over the course of our tours you will stop at multiple locations with tastings in each. This generally equates to to a large lunch or dinner. You will not leave hungry, we promise!
Do you cater for vegetarians, vegans and/or kosher diets?
All of our food tours are vegetarian friendly, however it is not always possible to serve vegan or kosher food at many of the stops. Please notify us of your dietary restrictions upon booking and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Is there alcohol?
Beer and wine are a part of many of our tours, and as such will be served at a certain point. Do feel free to ask for a soft drink alternative if you prefer not to drink alcohol. For children, soft drink alternatives will be available.
What beverages are served on your tours?
In addition to beer and wine, water is served during some tastings. However, we recommend you bring a bottle of water with you on your food tour, especially during the hot summer months.
What about other dietary restrictions or allergies?
When you make your food tour booking, we ask what dietary restrictions you have. We do our best to accommodate any dietary restrictions, but these do depend on the individual case. If you have food allergies or intolerances and decide to try tastings in addition to those that have been specially catered for you, please be aware that you do so at your own risk and the company assumes no responsibility.
