A Sunday stroll through the Jewish Ghetto…

Make the most of the whole weekend in Rome by joining our Sunday food tour through one of the city’s oldest and most atmospheric neighbourhoods. We take you to the Jewish Ghetto, a once walled and gated quarter of the city where the Jewish community were ordered to live in cramped conditions. Although the walls have been torn down, the Ghetto is still the heart of the Jewish community and where you’ll find some of the best Jewish cuisine, kosher bakeries and ancient architecture.

On our Sunday food tour through this historic neighbourhood you’ll enjoy a range of tastings and discover some of Rome’s most important sights along the way. Try iconic Jewish-Roman dishes like fried artichokes and learn how they developed and influenced the local cuisine. Stop in at a local bakery and watch sweet delicacies being made on the spot. Then finish the afternoon with gelato, made with the finest Italian ingredients.

Join us for a glimpse – and more than just a taste – of Rome’s flavourful culinary history in one of its oldest and most delicious food neighbourhoods.

Please Note: tour stops, tastings and numbers of tastings are likely to change slightly to reflect seasonal produce, vendor opening hours and availability.

This was the highlight of my weekend without a doubt! Our guide Sarah was lovely and very knowledgeable. Each place offered delicious, authentic food that left us wanting more. The tour is well thought out and paced with a good variety of traditional and modern food, not to mention the beautiful sights. I definitely recommend travellers to make time for this tour!

We loved the tour, history, food and Sarah. What wonderful way to hear about part of Rome we would of never traveled to.
