One of our favorite tours in Rome and Florence! Kept the kids very interested and engaged. The tour guide was fantastic! Dario was really great and so interesting. It was worth every penny and we would highly recommend it with kids. Our kids are ages 13, 11, 7, 5 and 1. Normally we’d think we would need a private tour but the tour guide was able to engage the whole group. Loved the history of the area and the background facts on food and culture.

This was a wonderful tour that gave you just enough food and drinks at each location with history and or context to add a level of appreciation vs walking up to the place on your own. Adding to the food and wonderful environment was our guide Leo (Leonardo). He was a wonderful knowledgeable guide with great tips on local beer stop to hit up after the tour. He gave guidance leveraging his years of working with craft beer for 2 great stops that have such variety it was our next stop after the tour. Worth booking for the whole experience and knowledge that's hard to get outside of personal interaction.

We participated in the golf cart food tour of Rome and we say this is a must do! Our tour guide, Luca Murphy, made the tour even better! Luca Murphy was absolutely charming, insightful, helpful, and lots of fun! This specific tour was highly recommended by a travel book we read and boy do we agree with the recommendation! We loved this tour because we knew we could see some interesting landmarks along the golf cart ride while learning about Rome through food...the gateway to any culture! The other reason we booked this tour was due their expert gastronomical guidance which could be trusted to steer us clear of the "tourist trap" restaurants who prey on tourists by offering mediocre, non-authentic food at exaggerated prices. But, we knew we could count on this particular food tour because they bring you to some of the most amazing, family-ran restaurants where a lot of locals eat so you know you aren't getting tourist-trap food. Food, drink, Rome scenery, and riding a golf cart through Rome is a fantastic way to experience Rome! And if you lucky enough to get Luca Murphy, then you will be with one of the best tour guides we've ever met in our entire lives!

Valentina made our Eating Europe food tour truly unforgettable for me and my husband. From the moment we met her, she was warm, welcoming, and full of energy. Her passion for the local food and history was infectious—you could tell she genuinely loves what she does. She didn’t just guide us through the stops, she told stories, shared little-known facts, and made us feel like we were discovering the city with a local friend. Every bite tasted better thanks to the context she gave, and she made sure everyone felt included and taken care of. We both walked away with full stomachs and even fuller hearts. Davide was an incredible guide!
We joined his food tour and cooking class, and it was such a memorable experience from start to finish. We began with a visit to a local shop to pick out our ingredients, where Davide shared the rich history and traditions behind each one, plus a few delicious tastings along the way!
Then we headed to the kitchen to make his grandmother’s pasta recipes, fettuccine and ravioli, completely from scratch. And of course, we got to enjoy everything we made! Absolutely delicious!
Highly recommend booking this experience with Davide. It’s the perfect way to immerse yourself in pasta, tradition, and fun!

This tour was incredible. Giuseppe was an excellent tour guide. He was knowledgeable and so much fun as well as funny. By the end of the tour he felt like family. The pace of the tour was just right, all the food was amazing, I took my first bite of a supplí and cried because it was so delicious…and by the end I walked away with my heart (and my stomach) so full, with a smile as big as the Colosseum! I highly recommend this tour as it’s out of the busy tourist areas (the tour happens in the Testaccio area of town). It was a definite highlight during our visit to Rome! Try it, go for it, you won’t regret it! Bravo!

Fabio was fabulous! He gave us the history of Rome where he grew up and took us to numerous restaurants and shops. This was our favorite experience on our trip to Italy. Highly recommended! Amin is the best! His knowledge of the history and culture of Rome made our tour enjoyable and informative. He is personable and communicated with us in a way that allowed us to be comfortable with him. He was attentive to all our needs. At the end of tour, he helped us return to where we were staying. Our favorite moment was when we passed a long line of people waiting at a restaurant and we were served fried artichoke without a long wait. Because of Amin, we look forward to booking with Eating Europe Food Tours again.

If you show up late or cannot find the meeting point, for any reason, refund requests are not honored per policy. Inside of 24 hours, your spot on the tour has been reserved exclusively for you. Since we are unable to fill your spot if you’re unable to attend for any reason (including transportation or illness), we do not offer refunds after that time. We reserve the right to charge an amendment fee should you request to reschedule within 24 hours of 8am CET on the date of your tour . Once again, this is subject to availability and price changes. In general, we only charge you for any additional costs that we incur such as tickets. We have no intention of profiting from disruptions to your vacation and will work with providers and suppliers to get this cost reduced to a minimum.
