Meeting Point
Meeting Point
Libreria Berisio 80138 Naples
We will meet in front of Liberia Berisio, your guide will be wearing or holding a purple bag with an Eating Europe logo.
Naples’ centro storico hits you with everything at once — the roar of scooters, laundry strung between crumbling palazzi, street shrines glowing in narrow alleys, and the smell of something incredible around every corner. This is one of Europe’s oldest continuously inhabited cities, and it feels like it — layers of Greek, Roman, and Spanish history piled on top of each other in streets that have never stopped living.
And the food is inseparable from that chaos. This is where pizza was born, and legendary pizzerias still serve blistered margheritas for a few euros that ruin you for pizza anywhere else. Street vendors hand you cuoppo of fried seafood, bakeries sell sfogliatelle still crackling from the oven, and tiny kitchens simmer ragù napoletano for hours behind unmarked doors. Naples doesn’t wait for you to sit down or read a menu — it just feeds you, generously and without ceremony, the way it always has.

Great Family Group Experience A great food tour! Alessandra was so knowledgeable about all the types of Neapolitan pizzas, as well as the history of her city. She was so patient with our large group of 8 and we all enjoyed the tour from a small toddler to grandparents. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience Naples in true form!

Our guide was great Our guide was Alessandra. (spelling might not be correct) She was awesome. Spoke great English. Was very knowledgeable and helpful and taught us ot of pizza history but also Naples history.
Would highly recommend her.
The only negative (which is the company's issue, not hers, is that the instructional email included only a meeting address, not a business name. Unfortunately, that address # wasn't listed on the building. We were confident we were in the right place but it was still confusing. It all worked out fine. I'm sure it has been addressed with the company.
very good food tour

A Must Do Tour In Naples What an amazingly intimate experience in Naples! We tried everything from the most iconic pastries, wine from Vesuvius, homemade limoncello, to making our own pizza napoletana. Then we went to Fabrizio’s (our guide) mother’s home for some more wine, food and an intimate cultural experience. Fabrizio was an amazing guide and I really loved meeting his mother and learning more about this incredible city. This is a must do!

Are tourists welcome in Naples?
Yes, absolutely. There’s an Italian phrase, l’arte di arrangiarsi, the art of making do or getting by with ingenuity and flair. It speaks to the vibrant, resilient soul of Naples, a feeling we believe every visitor should experience.
You’ll find that spirit from locals when you connect with the city respectfully. It’s found when you support the pizzerias in the Spanish Quarter, navigate the bustling streets with awareness and a smile, and show respect for the deeply held local traditions and beliefs. This is the authentic Naples experience.
It’s this connection we create on our Eating Europe tours. We step away from the crowds and take you to the places locals truly love, introducing you to the people behind the food and the stories that make this city one of a kind.

Tips for our lovely guides are not required, but they are appreciated!
