Davide was an amazing tour leader. In addition to bringing us to these great places to eat, he gave us additional information on Italian food. It gave me a better appreciation and a greater desire to be able to do better when cooking my pasta. It further confirmed to me that Italian cooking doesn’t need to be complicated. You just need to have good quality ingredients and, of course, cook it right. The artichoke and the porchetta were my favorite but I would gladly eat any of the food we ate anytime. It was definitely an experience I would cherish forever. The 4 hours passed by quickly as we were continuously entertained by Davide’s stories. Also, before the tour ended, Davide even gave us a link to a recipe website which makes me excited all the more to cook my own Italian food when I get home.

Dalia was the most amazing tour guide!! We loved our twilight food & wine tour through Trastevere tonight (3/22/25). She was very knowledgeable about the history of the beautiful neighborhood and also shared her passion for authentic Italian cuisine and wine. Dalia has a gift for making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. She kept us engaged & laughing while sharing all that Trastavere has to offer. Highly recommend!!

This tour was incredible. Giuseppe was an excellent tour guide. He was knowledgeable and so much fun as well as funny. By the end of the tour he felt like family. The pace of the tour was just right, all the food was amazing, I took my first bite of a supplí and cried because it was so delicious…and by the end I walked away with my heart (and my stomach) so full, with a smile as big as the Colosseum! I highly recommend this tour as it’s out of the busy tourist areas (the tour happens in the Testaccio area of town). It was a definite highlight during our visit to Rome! Try it, go for it, you won’t regret it! Bravo!

Miri is fabulous! We had the best time exploring Travastere. That porchetta stop and the ‘King’ can’t be missed. You get to go VIP pass to super fun places (Da Enzo in particular). It was my boy-friend’s first good tour ever and he was impressed with how much he learned along the way in addition to the excellent food & drink!

Amin is the best! His knowledge of the history and culture of Rome made our tour enjoyable and informative. He is personable and communicated with us in a way that allowed us to be comfortable with him. He was attentive to all our needs. At the end of tour, he helped us return to where we were staying. Our favorite moment was when we passed a long line of people waiting at a restaurant and we were served fried artichoke without a long wait. Because of Amin, we look forward to booking with Eating Europe Food Tours again.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable way to experience Rome, this food tour is an absolute must! We visited seven different spots, each offering something unique and delicious, from classic Roman pasta dishes to incredible street food and, of course, gelato to finish things off. Our guide, Davide, was awesome —knowledgeable, engaging, attentive and great sense of humor. He went out of his way to make it a personable and great experience. He clearly has a passion for Italian cuisine. On the way to one of the restaurants, he greeted some friends who allowed us to cut thru a back alley where they were filming some war movie. Pretty neat experience. He also gave us great recommendations for some wine tours in Tuscany. Looking forward to tasting more delicious wine. Tips for the tour- come hungry and wear good shoes…lots of walking but the exercise is needed to work up an appetite between destinations. Grazie, Davide, for an amazing time—this was easily one of the highlights of our trip!

We recently did an evening tour with Giorgia and felt an instant connection from the start. Giorgia was a wealth of knowledge on not only the food culture of Roma but also the rich layers of history it was built on. We were treated to some special service from many popular spots that had people lining up to dine outside. Stopping to learn about ancient ruins and the meaning behind many of the religious symbols along the way. All of our questions were answered and after finishing of with a delicious gelato we were left feeling full and happy. We would thoroughly recommend this tour and be sure to ask for Giorgia a true Italian.

Our group tours begin & depart precisely at the scheduled tour or experience start time. If you show up late or cannot find the meeting point, for any reason, refund requests are not honored per policy. If you are having a hard time arriving on time we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible so we can do everything in our power to assist you with arriving at the meeting point at the scheduled time or reschedule to the next available tour.
CANCELLATION DUE TO PLANES, TRAINS, AUTOMOBILES OR ILLNESS
Inside of 24 hours, your spot on the tour has been reserved exclusively for you. Since we are unable to fill your spot if you’re unable to attend for any reason (including transportation or illness), we do not offer refunds after that time. Please plan ahead so that you are able to join us and don’t miss out!

AMENDMENT POLICY
We would be happy to assist you with rescheduling your tour, free of charge, with any requests made more than 24 hours of 8am CET on the date of the tour. We reserve the right to charge an amendment fee should you request to reschedule within 24 hours of 8am CET on the date of your tour . Once again, this is subject to availability and price changes. In general, we only charge you for any additional costs that we incur such as tickets. We have no intention of profiting from disruptions to your vacation and will work with providers and suppliers to get this cost reduced to a minimum.
