We participated in the golf cart food tour of Rome and we say this is a must do! Our tour guide, Luca Murphy, made the tour even better! Luca Murphy was absolutely charming, insightful, helpful, and lots of fun! This specific tour was highly recommended by a travel book we read and boy do we agree with the recommendation! We loved this tour because we knew we could see some interesting landmarks along the golf cart ride while learning about Rome through food...the gateway to any culture! The other reason we booked this tour was due their expert gastronomical guidance which could be trusted to steer us clear of the "tourist trap" restaurants who prey on tourists by offering mediocre, non-authentic food at exaggerated prices. But, we knew we could count on this particular food tour because they bring you to some of the most amazing, family-ran restaurants where a lot of locals eat so you know you aren't getting tourist-trap food. Food, drink, Rome scenery, and riding a golf cart through Rome is a fantastic way to experience Rome! And if you lucky enough to get Luca Murphy, then you will be with one of the best tour guides we've ever met in our entire lives!

I loved the tour!!!! The places that we go were amazing, I can't say which one were my favorite because all the places and the food were very good! I really enjoyed learning about the history of Trastevere, the restaurants and some of the important monuments like the basilica Santa María de Trastevere. My tour guys Lucas Murphy and Dadive were awesome! They were funny, knowledgeable, and professional, they make the experience very pleasant.

Had a wonderful time on the Twilight Trastevere tour! The tour guide, Toni, was absolutely awesome. She was so informative, personable, and at each stop she seemed to know every staff member as a friend. The food was great, the history was great, the "what to watch out for" and general Rome tips were the best. The group we were with was great to speak with. And by the end we were so full! I would definitely recommend this tour to a friend, and would reserve another tour in another European city after this!

Dalia was AMAZING! I really enjoyed the whole tour. She took time to show us all the sites. She was very accommodating for our kids who were with us and made it a fun event for them. they both (16 and 11) walked away saying it was one of the funnest things we had done this trip. Thank you for a magical night that will forever be a favorite memory of our whole family.

Jasmin was a wonderful guide, bubbly personality she really engaged with all of us. She knows her history and has a rapport with the owners and staff of all the venues we visited. Jasmin being a local and talking with is about the local history was a highlight. The food was amazing and some of the places were so old our minds were blown. We had a fantastic food and wine tour with Fabio!! All the food and drinks were outstanding, particularly the Tiramisu at Angelinas. Fabio’s ability to impart his knowledge of the history of Italy in general, the particular areas we visited and the food and wine made this one of my favorite tours of Rome.

Italian food and tradition at its finest! We met our guide, Valentina (Val), at the designated location and proceeded back into Trastevere. We were delighted that a group of 7 people had cancelled, so there were only 5 of us in the group. Val told us about herself and led us to 7 different locations, where we sampled different foods and wines. Trastevere is such an interesting location in Rome. Starting with two kinds of bruschetta served with Prosecco, we proceeded through a second course of pork stew served with a red wine; fresh cookies at a bakery; Bufala cheese on bread and a sampling of porchetta with another red wine at a deli type establishment; "suplie" - rice balls stuffed with a surprise stuffing, in our case cheese, served with beer; then a dinner sized serving of rigatoni Amitriciana and rigatoni Cacio e Pepe, served with a red wine. Our final stop was at a Gelateria, where we our choice of authentic Italian gelato! All of this was expertly explained and annotated with Italian tradition descriptions by our wonderful Val! The pace was leisurely, and the tour took three hours. We would recommend this tour to anyone who wanted to acquaint themselves with traditional Italian foods, wines and Italian dining traditions. Do ask for Val - she was amazing!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Rome Trastevere Food Tour at Twilight, with our guide Leonardo. It was amazing - the food was great - 7 or 8 stops at different restaurants and delis, including multiple courses and wines. And Leonardo was the best host - extremely knowledgeable about food and wine, as well as being very engaging and personable. We highly recommend if you want a fun evening exploring the food and wines of Italy, in beautiful surroundings!

CANCELLATION DUE TO PLANES, TRAINS, AUTOMOBILES OR ILLNESS
Inside of 24 hours, your spot on the tour has been reserved exclusively for you. Since we are unable to fill your spot if you’re unable to attend for any reason (including transportation or illness), we do not offer refunds after that time. We would be happy to assist you with rescheduling your tour, free of charge, with any requests made more than 24 hours of 8am CET on the date of the tour. We reserve the right to charge an amendment fee should you request to reschedule within 24 hours of 8am CET on the date of your tour . Once again, this is subject to availability and price changes. In general, we only charge you for any additional costs that we incur such as tickets. We have no intention of profiting from disruptions to your vacation and will work with providers and suppliers to get this cost reduced to a minimum.
