International food and drink at sunset…

We believe that you can fall in love with the sights and sounds of a city, but you don’t really get to know it until you taste it. Our small group foodie tours take you into the lesser-known areas of Amsterdam, so that you can meet the unique food vendors hidden on the backstreets.

We  wander through Oud-West as the sun begins to set – a hip neighbourhood characterised by its elegant architecture and offbeat bars and shops. Oud West feels like a small village even though it’s right in the heart of the city, which is why it’s the perfect place to experience a more authentic side of Amsterdam.

Did you know that international cuisine such as French, Turkish and Moroccan is just as common as traditional Dutch food? You’ll discover some surprising facts about the local cuisine and stop at humble food counters that only the real locals know about, so make sure you arrive hungry and curious!

From local beer at the popular Foodhallen food hall, to street food favourites at one of Amsterdam’s favourite food markets, we want you to experience the unique dishes and food locations that Amsterdammers love.

You’ll sip, nibble, savour, chat, laugh and by the end of the evening you will have experienced what the Dutch call “gezelligheid” – enjoyable time spent in the company of good friends.

Aileen is a very special guide and leader: interested, intimate, infectiously funny and energetic and she provides the icing on the cake as it were! The places visited were varied and interesting and the food and drink offered splendid -outstanding in one or two cases.

This was a great food tour experience in Amsterdam. Aileen was an amazing tour guide who showed us some of the best local places in the city. It was also a good opportunity to walk around and see an area of the city I hadn’t yet visited. Thanks for such a great experience!
