Fascinating, Fabulous Food Tour. Rich in recent history and culture, this was a fascinating tour with some amazing culinary delights. Edan, our guide, brought a very human dimension to the tour, explaining what it meant to be in East Berlin through recent turbulent times. Reflecting the ethnicity of recent immigrant populations to East Berlin, we experienced some superb cuisines from Iraq, Vietnam, Syrian as well as authentic German street foods, beers and other drinks. Food as a common thread with some great street art thrown in too brought a very human dimension to the tour. So, in summary, a very enjoyable and hugely informative, fascinating and enriching experience.

We had such an amazing tour with Edan! He was a fabulous guide and so knowledgeable and friendly. The food stops were amazing, we had some delicious food and beer and some fascinating culture and history along the way. We enjoyed the stop at Nyom so much that we came back the next day for dinner. A really great opportunity to experience a mix of cuisines and try some places we wouldn’t normally have. It was a great afternoon.

The best way to learn some East Berlin history The East Berlin food and history tour was an absolute treat! Our guide, Clara, was fantastic — knowledgeable, engaging, and full of interesting stories that brought the city's colourful multicultural past to life. Her passion for Berlin was infectious. Excellent food tour experience in chilly Berlin Fantastic afternoon with our excellent guide, Jed. The whole experience was fun but also thought-provoking. Jed was really kind, warm and had extensive knowledge of the theme of the tour, and many other subjects as well. Really enjoyed listening to him.We went to places and restaurants which we otherwise wouldn't have gone to, and that was one of the best parts of the tour. The food was delicious (except for the currywurst!) and vegetarian / vegan options were available.Highly recommend this tour as part of your visit to Berlin!

This is my fifth tour with the Eating Europe company and it still beats any other food tour I've been on. I would love to see yours in other parts of Germany as this is more Berlin food than German food. Clara did a great job and I will keep recommending to friends - all who have taken my suggestion tell me it was a highlight of the trip. It's a great way to learn the history and culture of a city.

Edan was so good. He was so knowledgeable about everything in the area from the food, to the art, to the history, to the politics. Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. We went during Christmastime so the Christmas market was added. Did not take away from the standard tour at all. All good food plus some Glühwein at the market. Bring your hunger because there’s definitely plenty of food. We brought our 18 and 15 y/o children and they loved it. Would definitely do again. Thank you!

In general, we only charge you for any additional costs that we incur such as tickets. We have no intention of profiting from disruptions to your vacation and will work with providers and suppliers to get this cost reduced to a minimum.
