Fabio was an excellent guide- knowledgeable and informative about the history of Testaccio and the food. I enjoyed the selection - the Bruschetta, Caprese and the Porchetta sandwich were outstanding, and the selection of cured meats pared with wine was very good. The only slight disappointment was that I was looking forward to starting with coffee and cake, and would have happily forgone some pasta instead. All in all it was a really fun experience.

Such a fantastic experience! The food and wine was amazing! The history we learned was so much fun. We visited a wine cellar in an old Roman house from 80BC underneath a restaurant where we ate a pork stew made from a recipe exactly from a covenant from Julius Caesar’s personal chef. Perfect experience and highlight of our trip to Rome! Our guide, Luca Murphy, was wonderful!

Valeria was fantastic! perfect amount of talking, information and history sharing, and not too much walking. Truly suitable for any age, any fitness level. All the food was fantastic and gaining access to
restaurants before opening or taking exclusive tours to areas not normally permitted to guests was really cool. You're left genuinely satisfied, not hungry or too full. All around an amazing experience and I would honestly recommend it to anyone!

Valentina made our Eating Europe food tour truly unforgettable for me and my husband. From the moment we met her, she was warm, welcoming, and full of energy. Her passion for the local food and history was infectious—you could tell she genuinely loves what she does. She didn’t just guide us through the stops, she told stories, shared little-known facts, and made us feel like we were discovering the city with a local friend. Every bite tasted better thanks to the context she gave, and she made sure everyone felt included and taken care of. We both walked away with full stomachs and even fuller hearts. First time in Rome and on a golf cart foodie tour! Walter was very personable, funny, knowledgeable of the food and culture and kept us entertained and engaged. We were able to explore areas we would not have known about, there many hidden gems! It was fun hanging out with other couples and experiencing the local food and wine together. For our first night in Rome we decided to do the Twilight Trastevere Rome Food Tour and it did not disappoint! My husband and I have done several tours with Eating Europe and the Trastevere tour was definitely one of the best. All of the food was delicious and paired with some incredible wine. Walking through Trastevere in the evening was amazing - it’s so different from the main attractions of Rome, but in a good way! Last but not least, we had a wonderful guide. One of our favorite tours in Rome and Florence! Kept the kids very interested and engaged. The tour guide was fantastic! Dario was really great and so interesting. It was worth every penny and we would highly recommend it with kids. Our kids are ages 13, 11, 7, 5 and 1. Normally we’d think we would need a private tour but the tour guide was able to engage the whole group. Loved the history of the area and the background facts on food and culture.

In general, we only charge you for any additional costs that we incur such as tickets. We have no intention of profiting from disruptions to your vacation and will work with providers and suppliers to get this cost reduced to a minimum.
