Born in Seattle but a true nomad, I grew up across Africa and Asia, studied in Europe, and worked in the US. Copenhagen has been home for the past 10 years.
I can’t live without Stegt flæsk med persillesovs - crispy pork belly with parsley sauce and potatoes.
In any Copenhagen neighborhood, stop by a butcher, grab a piece of already cooked stegt flæsk to go, find a bench, and repeat in the next neighborhood 🤩

Frequently Asked Questions

What food is Denmark known for?

Denmark has a rich food culture with both traditional and modern influences, but perhaps the most famous is smørrebrød – open-faced sandwiches typically topped with fish, meat, or vegetables. Other well-known favorites include Danish pastries, fresh seafood, and hearty comfort dishes.

Do the tours accommodate vegetarian or gluten-free diets?

All of our food tours are vegetarian friendly. However, it’s important to note that it may not always be possible to serve vegan, gluten-free, or kosher foods at every stop on the tour. Please notify us of any dietary restrictions when booking so we can try to accommodate your needs.

Do you tip in Danish restaurants?

Tipping in Denmark is not expected, as service is already included in restaurant prices by law. If you receive exceptional service, you may choose to round up the bill or leave a small tip, but it is entirely optional. Your tour guide will provide you with all the information you need.

What’s included in the price of the food tour?

All food and drinks are included in the price of the tour.

I’m traveling alone. Do you offer single tickets or just group sales?

We love welcoming solo travelers! All of our tours are open to individual guests.
