Milanese cuisine We had a lovely strolling dinner through Navigli section of Milan. We had a variety of dishes as Cecelia, our guide, told us history about the area. We tried fried dough pizza (amazing, light and fluffy, not greasy) and washed it down with a local beer. Then on to a bar on a canal where we had polenta cakes with gorgonzola and carpaccio matched perfectly with Chianti. Then another ‘pizza’ made of chickpea flour called farinatta. Then we had saffron risotto with Ossobucco meatballs paired with red wine. All of the dishes were something we hadn’t tried before and we were amazed at how delicious they were! Of course we had dessert at our last stop- the most delicious gelato! I would recommend this tour.

Sunset in Navigli with an Outstanding Guide I went on this food tour in the Navigli district on my own while my partner had to work, and it ended up being one of my favorite experiences in Milan. With the hustle and bustle of the Olympics happening around the city, this tour felt like the perfect escape.
Chiara was an outstanding guide. She was kind, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. She shared so much history and fascinating local insight that made the neighborhood truly come alive. Navigli’s bohemian, lively energy paired beautifully with the sunset along the canal.
The food was delicious, the company was lovely, and the entire evening felt relaxed and full of life. Chiara made it seamless and memorable from start to finish. 5/5 stars. I highly recommend.

Dining with Purpose
We proudly support World Central Kitchen. Every tour you book helps provide meals to communities in crisis.
Our Milan food tours are led by locals who know the city eats far better than its reputation suggests. Risotto perfectionists, aperitivo devotees, and market regulars who've watched Milanese food culture evolve while keeping its roots. They take you beyond the fashion district and into the trattorias, delis, and neighborhood bars where Milan reveals its true character — elegant, generous, and deeply proud of what comes out of its kitchens.

Born in Palermo and raised in Lombardia 🇮🇹, I've also lived for 9 years in London 🇬🇧 and 3 years in Granada 🇪🇸
My favorite Milanese food is polenta & gorgonzola, simple yet hearty.
What I love about Milan is the easy access to quick yet incredible food and drinks. Unpretentious, no-frills places where you can have amazing wines and a bite to eat with no need to plan for it.
