Prague is easily one of Europe’s most picturesque cities. Not only is there an abundance of restaurants with a view, but many offer exceptional dining experiences, meaning you won’t have to sacrifice quality to secure sweeping vistas.

I’ve been asked about my favorite scenic eateries numerous times on my Prague food tours, so I felt it was about time I ran through my top picks. In this article, you’ll find the finest Prague restaurants with a view that you have to include in your itinerary ahead of your visit!

Award-Winning Restaurant with Breathtaking Views

Terasa U Zlaté Studně

Terasa_U_Zlaté_Studně_Prague

Terasa U Zlaté Studně is an award-winning restaurant with scenic views. Considering it was dubbed the best Czech restaurant in 2012 and 2015, I had high hopes for this place!

Luckily, it was as amazing as I’d expected, from the elegant decor and city views to the exceptional food. I opted for the grilled scallops, which had the perfect balance of buttery and briny flavors enhanced by the tart pomegranate and clean cilantro.

Terasa U Zlaté Studně (€€€€) – U Zlaté studně 166 /4, 118 00 Malá Strana, Czechia.

Villa Richter

Villa Richter has some of the finest views over the terracotta roofs of Prague, and its sophisticated wine bistro and vineyards have earned it several Luxury Lifestyle Awards.

I kicked things off with a glass of silky, fruity pinot noir before ordering the veal sirloin. The meat was mild and melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the sides of creamy potatoes, earthy asparagus, and indulgent garlicky marsala sauce were to die for.

Villa Richter (€€€) – Staré zámecké schody 6/251, 118 00 Praha 1-Hradčany, Czechia.

Kampa Park

If you’re looking for a Michelin-approved Prague restaurant with a view, I think you’ll love Kampa Park and its refined blue and white dining area and spacious terraces.

I wanted something filling, so I quickly settled on the honey-glazed duck. The meat was so rich and provided a lovely contrast to the sweet, crispy skin. It was doused with tangy prune puree and a fruity red wine sauce.

Kampa Park (€€€€) – Na Kampě 523/8b, 118 00 Malá Strana, Czechia.

Fine Dining Experience with Panoramic Vistas

Coda Restaurant

Coda_Restaurant_Prague

Coda Restaurant is among the most popular fine dining spots in Prague. Although the food is the star, the castle views from the laidback terrace give it a run for its money.

My reservation fell on a rather warm afternoon, so something light like the Icelandic cod was just what I needed. As I’d hoped, it was flaky and slightly sweet, and the emulsified fish and butter-based sauce brought subtle savory notes to the dish.

Coda Restaurant (€€€€) – Tržiště 368/9, 118 00 Malá Strana, Czechia.

CottoCrudo

CottoCrudo_Prague

Not only is CottoCrudo an exquisite Prague restaurant with a view, but it’s also where I found some of the city’s tastiest Italian fare. The neutral-colored indoor dining area is gorgeous, but the chic terrace is the place to be.

I only had time for a quick lunch, but I was super impressed by the risotto. It was rich without feeling too heavy and featured a harmonious mix of woodsy mushrooms, nutty salsify, and chewy rice topped with salty parmesan.

CottoCrudo (€€€€) – Veleslavínova 1098/2a, 110 00 Josefov, Czechia.

Riverside Restaurants for Serene Vltava Views

Marina Ristorante

Marina_Ristorante_Prague

Marina Ristorante offers serene, riverside dining experiences from the comfort of a stylish riverboat with both indoor and outdoor seating areas.

I timed my visit around the sunset, meaning I could take in the vistas of Charles Bridge while feasting on some delectable New Zealand lamb. These chops were lean and grassy, and the spicy pepper sauce mellowed the gamey undertones.

Marina Ristorante (€€) – Alšovo nábř. 110/00, 110 00 Staré Město, Czechia.

Brick’s

Brick's_Prague

Brick’s is more than just a Prague restaurant with a view. It’s a warm, romantic riverside eatery with a curated menu of local and international flavors.

The svíčková na smetaně was out of this world. With each bite, the succulent beef and tangy cream sauce became intensely flavorful. I also have to mention the Carlsbad dumplings, which were light and fluffy morsels made from eggs and stale bread chunks.

Brick’s (€€€€) – Cihelná 2b, 118 00 Malá Strana, Czechia.

Rooftop and Sky Bars with Spectacular Cityscapes

Cloud 9

Cloud_9_Prague

Cloud 9 sits atop the Hilton Hotel. This swanky spot is among Prague’s best-loved rooftops and sky bars with its expansive windows and dramatic city views.

Watching the sun go down from here was magical, and doing so with a refreshing papaya margarita in hand was the icing on the cake. It has all the essentials for a classic margarita, but the addition of mild papaya and zesty orange elevated the drink’s sweet and sour flavors.

Cloud 9 (€€€) – Pobřežní 1, 186 00 Karlín, Czechia.

Casablanca

Casablanca_Prague

Despite its lavish decor and panoramic riverfront views, Casablanca, on the top floor of the President Hotel, has an easygoing vibe that’s perfect for a sundown drink.

I usually reach for the cocktail menu in rooftop bars like this, but on this occasion, I fancied a white wine. The bartender recommended the grüner veltliner, and the bright acidity, citrus notes, and mineral finish hit the spot with every mouthful.

Casablanca (€€€€) – nám. Curieových 1, 110 00 Staré Město, Czechia.

Tips for Choosing the Best Restaurants with a View in Prague

  • Check the sunset times and try to plan your meal accordingly.
  • I recommend making a reservation if you’re visiting over a weekend or during a holiday.
  • Some Prague restaurants with a view are only open during select times of the year, so be sure to do some research ahead of your trip.
  • Before your visit, read up on the dress code, as some establishments may require formal attire.

Conclusion

In Prague, restaurants with a view are peppered across the city center, offering stellar vistas of the Old Town, the meandering Vltava River, and the sprawling castle complex. With any of these spots, you can enjoy the scenery while savoring premium fare or delectable drinks.
