Cinque Terre, the series of 5 beautiful towns on the northern Italian Riviera is one of the most beautiful coastal areas of the country.  It is often frequented by the likes of celebrities such as George Clooney, but if you want to experience the beauty of these five small towns and you’re not on a Clooney budget, we have the perfect list of cheap stays for you.  From north to south, these five coastal towns consist of: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.  Here are a couple of hotels for each – cosy, central and affordable.

Where to Stay in Cinque Terre

Monterosso al Mare

B&B Alle 5 Terre

In the northern most town within Cinque Terre there is a cute and cozy little bed and breakfast, with a fantastic location that’s sure to please. A short walk to the beach and a mile from the city center, this B&B has the most beautiful terrace and all at a small 90 euros a night!

Hotel souvenir

Hotel souvenir is in the perfect location, 10 minutes from the train station and only 5 from the beach.  With a beautiful terrace and gardens you can enjoy your breakfast in, you’ll be surprised to be paying only around 110 euros a night.

Vernazza

Pensione Sorriso

Pensione Sorriso is a quiet hotel with classic styled rooms and tiled floors. Private bathrooms come with toiletries, free wifi and buffet breakfast included. This hotel is also only a 10-minute walk to the city centre. Book it today for 120 a night!

La Perla delle 5 Terre

This beautiful guesthouse boasts a prized location in Vernazza.  A five minute walk to the train station and short stroll to the beach plus free wifi for around 130 euro per night.

Corniglia

Locanda La Lanterna

For only 90 euros a night, you get breakfast, a convenient location in the center of Corniglia and a breathtaking view.  A road from the hotel leads you straight to the beach. Great accommodations for a great price!

Manarola

Giovanni rooms

Manarola being one of the smallest towns in Cinque Terre, Giovanni rooms is in a very quiet and peaceful location. Each apartment includes a kitchen, dining room and private bathroom. The location is great with many shops and restaurants nearby as well as the train station only a short walk away.  Approximate 120 euro per night.

Riomaggiore

This hotel is in the heart of Riomaggiore. Simple, very comfortable, clean and modern and an affordable stay at only 60 euros a night.

For 100 euros a night, you’ll have everything you need in a room which might even offer a view of the sea! Only a short walk to the train station, and if you let the staff know beforehand, someone will even come and pick you up!
